OK, now that we've got the prerequisites all fulfilled, the rest is simple.

1. Download the following files from this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959461, and put on bootable CWM SD card:

2. Boot into CWM SD Revovery

3. Flash the Prepare dual boot zip. Once that's done go into Mounts and Storage,then select Format /System, and select yes, then format Data, and also Cache.

4. Flash the custom ROM of your choice. I suggest CyanogenMod 7.0.2: http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=encore (+ GAPPS if you use CM: http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/ )

5. Remove SD card and Reboot into custom Rom.

6. Download ROM Manager from the Android market, and use ROM Manager to install CWM Recovery

7. Reboot and hold down "n" button to boot into Stock or alternate partition.

8. Enjoy your nook color dual boot tablet.

@mdb, I just passed along your question and the answer back was “yes on all counts”. (I think there’s another $10 charge for the EVO on top of the premium charge, but I could be wrong.) Good news?

Most of you prolly already know that we have offered free server space for many chefs and contributors over the past several months. As such, you are now seeing some small banner ads at the top of the screen, which we hope will bring in enough revenue to pay for the necessary server for file hosting. We make income on a pay per click on ad basis, so don't be afraid to see where these ads take you -- it will really help the site (don't go crazy though, as google frowns this type of thing).

Also, we do have all the files from the FTP backed up, and they will all be restored to the new server once we have everything in place. If anyone needs a specific file, please post here and I will get it re-uploaded as soon as possible.

All of us come from different areas of the globe, different backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common the love for tweaking and programming our phones lol. So it goes without saying that my wife deciding to join the Navy came from left field and now that I have had time to process things I am completely OK with it and support her (I just wish she wasn't leaving in 2 months :( ).

Trying to keep up with my job which they have all kinds of questions and concerns about this whole deal cause let's face it it is going to disrupt the business when I leave. To make matters worse a very close friend and co-worker was admited into the hospital about a week ago in excrusiating pain. A week later after a billion tests that they did the doctors finally concluded that he has cancer in his bones.

They are still trying to determine what type of cancer he has, but they do know that it is inoperable. They are going to try chemo therapy, but if that doesn't work then he has weeks maybe a month to live. He is a martial arts school owner & instructor like me. We grew up together training for nationals and Junior Olympics together and it is very hard to see someone who like me has a VERY high pain tolerance withered away in pain and can barely move without help.

Life is getting so hectic at the moment that it is very tough to keep up with doing the level of work that I put into everything I do weather it is work, my hobbies, my relationships. All I can do is keep my head up and prioritize things and do the ones that really matter the most. So as most of you know who read my first blog my wife decided a week ago that she wanted to join the Navy, and I want to thank all of you for your kind words they really helped me evaluate things. I was finally able to get her to sit down and lay things out there so I could understand where this was coming from. The nuts and bolts of everything is that she just isn't happy at her current job (works for Sprint) or what she feels is her place in life. Now her unhappiness with her place in life has nothing to do with me (so she says lol) and she wants to join the Navy because she wants our kids (when we have them...not there yet lol) to be proud of what she has done in her life.

So now I am totally behind her and support her (which I knew I would once she explained to me why this was so important to her). Anyway I am just relaxing now and putting the final touches on my ROM before I release it and making some snacks and stuff for the big game later.

Gonna spend the rest of the night relaxing with a nice bottle of wine and watching the game and wishing her luck as she goes to take her physical and stuff on Tuesday, but she has to stay overnight in their housing Monday night which is also her Birthday.

Now that I mentioned her birthday, I am quite upset with proflowers.com lol. I sent what I thought was going to be a nice surprise for her. The flowers were delivered to her work and were waiting for her when she got there Friday morning with a card with a nice message from me. The package I picked out also had a cute teddy bear, some chocolate truffles, and some lotions. Everything was delivered as promised, but the flowers look as though they were dead when she got them. The packages was called "100 blooms of love", but they should rename the package to "Death In A Vase" lol. After being in some water they look a little better, but definately not what I expected.

Oh well I am doing my best, as I always do, at everything in my life. I woke up to the damned alarm beeping in my face. As I walk into the living room there is the boy
(4 yrs) waiting for me as he does every morning. He insists on helping make the coffee and stands in the doorway and chatters about nonsense as I shower. Then as I brush my teeth he proceeds to shoot shaving cream into the sink, which I have to clean up..we do this EVERY morning. I then take my 7 minute ride into work. I work at the country's oldest arsenal. The Watervliet Arsenal has been supporting the Army since the War of 1812..No I haven't worked there that long. After a long day of machining weapons that will one day destroy enemies that dare take us on, I head home. It's Friday night which for me will consist of secluding myself in my "man cave" to play Call of Duty for hours on end while enjoying some herbal remedies (once my wife falls asleep). ;)

Like Carla I have never blogged before, but I figured what the hell I have a few things to get off my chest. To start with I have been working really hard to get my ROM ready to release and was very close this past Friday (Jan. 29th) until my wife decided to drop the bomb on me that she wants to join the Navy. Now I have a great deal of love and support the military, but coming out of left field from my wife of 7 months (we have known each other since we were kids and dated about 3 years before getting married) is a scary thought. Now not to go into too many details on my wife or anything I just don't think that she is being realistic about what she believes is going to happen when/if she joins. After having a long emotional talk on Friday we enjoyed a really great weekend together, but that put the breaks on me working on my ROM like I had planned.

Monday rolls around and she decides to go to the recruiter to get some info so we can discuss it more which she doesn't bring home anything and then can't really answer any questions that I have about things, but still thinks its a great idea lol. I decide to put up a preview post of my ROM while in a hurry at work not thinking things through too clearly I inadvertently upset another member because my ROM has a few things in it that I didn't initially credit the creator for (which when it was released I fully intended to).

Yesterday my wife goes and takes the ASVAB test and scores really well and now decides that Monday (her Birthday of all days) that she is going to stay overnight and go through the enlistment process on Tuesday. Now she still can't answer any questions that I have even though she has now talked to the recruiter 3 times, taken tests, and is ready to sign her life away. I am so confused on what I am supposed to do. I am not opposed to her joining or even giving up my career here (I am a Martial Arts Instructor) and moving, but I just don't think she is really looking at everything and is making a rash decision and every time I try to talk to her about it she thinks I am trying to talk her out of it when only I am trying to make her understand how big of a decision this is.

Oh and by the way I am still trying to put the finishing touches on my ROM, but am having a tough time trying to focus on that, deal with my wife wanting to join the Navy and run my martial arts school.

Almost all of these are mod incompatibilities... and will be fixed soon...

note: we have not yet moved domains as I wish to sort out all errors due to the upgrade first and then move domains (which may cause its own issues). I hope to move in the next couple of days..
